The Josh Kesselman Foundation for Making the World a Better Place
With an initial starting endowment of $2.2 million dedicated to charitable initiatives globally and locally, the Josh Kesselman Foundation was created to transform lives and change the stigma around cannabis-driven philanthropy.

Our Mission
The Josh Kesselman Foundation is grounded in the belief that opportunity creates obligation. Its mission is to convert success into service and act intentionally in support of communities where resources can change outcomes.
The Josh Kesselman Foundation for Making The World a Better Place was created to literally help change the world in a positive way FOR THE LONG TERM. It builds on top of the 10+ years of humanitarian work and millions previously donated directly to charities by Josh, RAW and the family. While setting up a formal 501C3 charity was a huge pain and expense, we wanted to do this in order to create a more sustainable path towards long term world change. In short, this foundation can carry on long after Josh Kesselman is gone, continuing to carry on! The initial starting endowment to the foundation was $2.2 million and the first grants have already been issued to Freedom Grow ($40,000) and Senai Global ($79,601.97).
To be very ‘blunt’, we are just trying to be good members of our community and help uplift everyone we come in contact with in a positive way. When the universe gives you the gift of success, you have a responsibility to share that success with your community. That’s what we’ve been doing and will continue to do!
We do not accept outside donations at this time as this is money Josh is trying to give back to our community.
Who we are
Created by Josh Kesselman, founder of RAW® Rolling Papers and Publisher of High Times, the Josh Kesselman Foundation formalizes years of philanthropic work into a dedicated platform for sustained giving. With millions already directed toward global water access and community assistance efforts, the Foundation ensures that this work continues with clarity, structure, and long-term vision.

What we do
The Josh Kesselman Foundation directs resources toward initiatives that create measurable, immediate results. Early grants reflect a dual commitment to global humanitarian work and domestic community support. Funding has been issued to Freedom Grow to assist individuals incarcerated for cannabis-related offenses and their families, as well as to Senai Global to rehabilitate clean water systems in Ethiopia. Together, these partnerships represent a focused approach to addressing systemic challenges at home and urgent infrastructure needs abroad.
